Melodic/Alternative Rock. Sounds like an alternative Michael Sweet. Hailing from the Midwest of the United States, this singer/songwriter slides through self-worth, social issues, and salvation.

JGR began playing the guitar and writing music at the age of 18. One summer weekend, his close friends discovered him in a basement room performing his first original song. They gathered around him and applauded, expressing their surprise by saying, I did not know you could write a song like that!

Influences include classic literature, behavioral studies, and bands like Metallica, Green Day, and The Smashing Pumpkins.

Production and mixing/mastering by Gary Hartly and Joshua Blanc at Wild Bill’s Studio, Quesnel, B.C.

The same friends that found him in the basement formed a cover band with JGR as the lead singer.

JGR later left his friend’s band to focus on his personal faith joining worship teams and leading them.

In the process, he bought some recording gear and continued to write. He is still active in the church and studio to this day.

I don’t play guitar because I’m great at it, but my friends say I write great songs.
